Useful Information

DO YOU OFFER VEGAN OR GLUTEN FREE ITEMS?

At this time Whipped Up! Does not offer any Vegan or Gluten free items. I am always learning new things so it may be offered one day.

ALLERGY DISCLAIMER

Whipped Up! is not responsible for any medical issues that may arise from consuming any products. The client is to disclose any known allergen of them or their guests. However, due to the possibility of cross contamination, Whipped Up! can never guarantee that the product is 100% free of allergens. The client understands in the case of an extreme allergen or medical condition, another specialized bakery may be a better option.

ORDER CHANGES

Changes to your order such as amount, size, colors, flavors, and/or design will be accepted as available depending on the order date. However, any changes made by the client may affect the original pricing. Whipped Up! reserves the right to increase or decrease price based on any changes made.

ARE YOU A BAKERY WITH A PHYSICAL LOCATION? DO YOU SHIP?

I am an insured Cottage (Home) Bakery, in the city of Odenton, Maryland. Zip code 21113.

Due to Maryland Cottage laws, no orders are available for shipping outside of the state. Items are available for local pick-up in the Odenton, MD area at this time. (some orders may qualify for local delivery, at an additional charge)

DO YOU OFFER FONDANT OR CHARACTER CAKES?

Whipped Up! does not offer fondant covered cakes or themed character cakes. Small decorative items are made using chocolate or a rolled buttercream, which is similar to fondant in that it can be used in some molds.

Whipped Up! is a buttercream based cottage bakery and is able to accommodate most design styles and color schemes.

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I NEED TO GIVE?

It really does depend... As a general rule you should try to book at least 1-2 weeks in advance for cupcake and treat orders. For celebration and wedding cakes, at least 4-6 weeks. I can sometimes cater for last minute orders but note that there will be a rush fee associated with the order.

DEPOSIT / PAYMENT

Once an order has been placed and confirmed, you will receive an invoice for payment. Payment of the invoice is due within 48 hours of receiving it to confirm your date and order.

For orders over $300, there is a non-refundable retainer fee of 50% of the total that must be paid within 48 hours. The total balance is due 7 days prior to the event (if the booking is a rush order and is within 7 days, the entire balance must be paid).

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of a cancellation, Whipped Up! will retain any deposits that were paid at the time of booking. If the cancellation is within 48 hours of the pick/event, the amount refunded, if any, will be determined by Whipped Up!

In the event that something occurs to affect your event date, please contact me immediately to discuss options. Communication is key and Whipped Up! will do its very best to accommodate your needs.

NON-EDIBLE ITEMS

Whipped Up! will not be responsible for consumption of non-edible items placed on your cake, such as flowers, wires, wooden dowels, ribbons, etc. Any non-edible items must be removed buy the client before the cake is served and consumed.
